Experience Southern Right Whales up close.
Between Mid-May and October (whale season), up to 100 whales reside along a 15km section of the coast line. The peak of the season is July-August. Head of the Bight is 20 kilometres to the east of Nullarbor Roadhouse
The stunning cliffs provide a close up view of the whales, however there is two viewing boardwalks (west and east) which truly gets you amongst the whales. The boardwalks are sloped for wheelchair access.
Watch in awe as the Southern whales arrive from the Antarctic water along with the humpback whales. You will be able to watch as the whales play games with one another, mate and calve. If it’s a quiet day you may even be able to hear the whales moan as they swim within the bay.
